| Annual partner’s meeting in Bydgoszcz |

July 2011 Annual partner’s meeting for the Local Democracy Agency Subotica was held on 8th of July 2011 in Bydgoszcz in Poland, between our partner representatives City of Wolverhampton and LDA representatives. The opportunity to conduct partnership meeting there appeared as a reasonable continuation of activities connected to the participation of our representatives at the international conference "Volunteering for democracy" and ALDAs’ General Summit, which were happening at the same time. Annual meeting of the partners for Local Democracy Agency was held with the support of the EU operating grant. Two representatives of LDA and one representative of lead partner - City of Wolverhampton, Mr Roger Lawrence were at the meeting. During the meeting representatives were reviewed the activities of the Centre that have been implemented and conducted since the last annual meeting, held in December 2010. in Szeged, Hungary. The meeting began with the evaluation report on the work of the Centre, presented by Milan Bosnjak. Participants continued meeting with an overview of current activities and planned future projects of the Center, noting excellent results of the project "Regional Partnership for Intercultural Cities". Project funded by CARDS Programme which was largely coming to an end, in which the City of Subotica was a leading applicant and among others Light House Media Center from Wolverhampton was a crucial partner. Furthermore, Stanka Parać, director of the LDAr, presented the current situation regarding the LDA partnerships with other cities / municipalities, the political situation and potential changes in Subotica’s local government and in civil society. Ms. Parać referred to the impact of possible political events to work of the Center, and noted that LDA staff is active in finding new partners. As it was concluded at the meeting, main challenges of the Local Democracy Agency Subotica in upcoming period are: the regional networking, finding new partners in order to create the capacity to work with local authorities in the region of Vojvodina, preparation of local communities in the process of integration of Serbia into the European Union and promotion of local economic development and cross-border cooperation. Achievement of such results requires strong support from existing/potential partners as well as the City of Subotica, for the sake of further successful work of the Local Democracy Subotica.
