Second round of project Local Partnerships for Tolerance, EU supported project (EIDHR Programme) PDF Print E-mail
The EU supported project Local Partnerships for Tolerance (2007/2008) which is LDA Subotica in implementation now is in second round improving interethnic dialogue and tolerance through improved citizen participation at local level. During November and December in five neighborhood community centres in Subotica municipality held the first round of trainings of citizen participation in neighborhood communities. In February, with neighborhood community Centar 3, started a second cycle of thematic seminars, on youth issues. The seminar was attended representatives of Center for youth work and local foundation for youth culture and creation Fokus and where they present their work. As the member of municipally board, in charge for youth and sports, the meeting was scheduled with the representatives of the neighbourhood community Centar 3. They will create a list of priority concerns related with the need to improve the quality of programmes offered to youth and present it at the separate meeting with the local minister for sports and youth. The conclusion of that thematic seminar was to help the young people have better access to the sport facilities in the city centre.
