LDA Subotica continued its activities implementing the EU supported project Local Partnerships for Tolerance (2007/2008) intended for improving interethnic dialogue and tolerance through improved citizen participation at local level. The main beneficiaries are the local civil society organisations and neighbourhood community centres in Subotica municipality. The project activities included trainings for young leaders, which was held on 24th of May in cooperation with neighbourhood community Mala Bosna. The main priority was to improve knowledge and skills for diversity management in non-governmental organisations, European standards in human/minority rights, offered support and citizen participation and through the means of intercultural dialogue help define and improve the conflict resolution skills at neighbourhood community level. As the president of neighbourhood community council, local expert Dragan Vujević  took  part in the training, providing to the youth leaders the necessary guidance and all the needed information for their future active participation in the public activities. After the training, local youth leaders will jointly develop a proposal to be organized and implemented in their neighbourhood community. The action plan will be presented, in the LDA office beginning of summer and further consultations made on working together.
