LDA in Strasbourg Congress PDF Print E-mail

17th till 19th of March

LDA consultants from Serbia visited Congress of Local and Regional authorities of the Council of Europe – 18th Session, placed in Strasbourg from 17th – 19th of March.

There were three LDA delegates from Serbia:

  • Olga Perušić, delegate LDA Subotica,
  • Milan Bošnjak, micro credit consultant LDA Subotica,
  • Marko Došljak, micro credit consultant LDA CSS Niš.

During a two days session, with a help from ALDA employees in Strasbourg, we represented our work on micro credit scheme. “Micro credit scheme for Young entrepreneurs In South East Europe” was represented through several different types of media: posters, flyers, microcredit movie. During these two days LDA delegates had a chance to meet the members of local and regional authorities form different Europe countries. In these communications we were explaining the importance of micro credit activities through our successful stories. With help of our director, Miss Antonella Valmorbida, good contacts with representatives from Council of Europe were established during sessions.

Indeed, during sessions in Strasbourg, LDA delegates got information about continuation on micro credit scheme in Serbia. Banca Intesa San Paolo confirmed the distribution of the resources for 2010. Terms and the amounts of the second period was only thing that was questioned, and Bank also asked for a specification of real needs from LDA’s in Serbia. LDA Subotica represented roughly estimation for loans in Vojvodina, based on communication with market.

Two days Congress in Strasbourg was a key point of the whole negotiation process that organizations made in order to make micro credit project happen in 2010. Through good presentations in Strasbourg, and with other reports from former meetings, micro credit scheme keeps it running again.

Next step is producing a possible scenarios for allocation of resources with BIB.
